Tonight I went to the Summer Fair and saw a man on 8 ft. stilts. While there I also fixed a computer being used by some volunteers who were trying to recruit other volunteers to work with single parent families and their kids. Earlier today I attended an awards luncheon for fellow civil servants who were being recognized for "service excellence". The team I belong to had our picture taken with the Minister of Family Services, who is a really nice guy. Our project involved the closure of an institution for adults who live with a mental disability, and finding alternate living arrangements for them in communities like the ones you and I live in. All in all, it was a good day.
